House...
...and Garden!
This RV park does the 4th of July right! They do potlucks every Sunday night, but this place gets really duded-up to celebrate our Independence Day!
You didn't think I'd let the name of this secret gem of a place out on the web, did you? Hah!
Almost everyone pitches in to help make it look festive.
A couple of bystanders. They are often present to oversee various functions, under protective cover of their beach umbrella. You remember Zou's best pal, Lexie. And then there's Squeak, the managers' little girl.
Musical accompaniment by Len from Ten (space 10, that is). Some talented guests at this campground!
Another supervisor. Thora is a pretty congenial inspector though.
Folks (Smiley Sue & hubby Jim) bearing my favorite gifts (food!).

And guess who?! With her good friend, Sheila.
More patriotic gals! I'm sorry not to know the name of the chica on the left. But that's Chris on the right and Darnelle closing the gap.
And Darnelle, popping up again with friend Sylvia.

And Bill brings our contribution to the feast.
Brothers - or at least best friends. Frank and Eric. I think Frank spends summers here (as do we now, pretty much!), and he says grace at our potlucks and pitches in where he can. Eric is half of the equation of Eric + Merry, the pair who run this place, and what a job they do. The fact that this is my Numero Uno favorite RV park, after 5 years or so of RVing all over the country and Canada...? That should kinda let you know how I think they're doing here...!!!
Some of the usual suspects - Joe (Thora's daddy), Bill, John, and Char(-lotte). Bill and John have become fast friends and torment the skies (and occasionally trees...) together with their RC planes.
On the left, Susan from Ten (hmmm, doesn't have the same ring to it as Len from Ten, but she's a great gal even if her name doesn't rhyme!). And I love her tablemate's celebratory shirt!
Some more characters. Pooh's husband on the left (sorry, can't remember his name - I would if it is was as memorable as Pooh! or wait, is it Poo? Or Pu? Well, it's a great name, either which way!), Earl (Chris' guy), and again, sorry, ...Mr. Red Shirt...?
And you remember Wilma and Harvey (Peanut's folks!)...
Shirley, and her husband Ron (not pictured - yet), are also part of the hard-working crew here.

Len from Ten gets 'em cuttin' a rug - or cuttin' concrete in this case. Lee & Alice, Joy & Dan, Char & John, and Don & Marlene - they all know how to have a good time (and a good marriage, obviously)!
Just the kind of group this is. The fun just goes on and on! And the happy is definitely contagious here.
What'd I tell ya?!
What'd I tell ya?!
Joe & Susan, another couple who are key to keeping this place so friendly and running so smoothly! And don't you love Susan's cute little red star hat?? (OK, so it's not a hat - I guess you could just say the stars aligned for her...)
And another good duo, Joy & Dan.

And here comes Pooh/Poo/Pu and a couple more family members!
And here comes trouble...with a capital T!
Tracky, all gussied-up (well, as gussied as he gets anyways).
The four folks who may be the most "to blame" for this being the best RV park in America (in my opinion at least)! Marlene and Don, who are part of the association that owns and operates the park, and of course Squeak's parents, who put in all the blood, sweat, and tears on a daily basis to run the place. Eric and Merry set the tone here, and it's truly a good one.
Lexie and Tractor reconnect.
And Squeak tries to get close too.
What a special place in this special country of ours.
Thank you to all who've made them both that way.
